During the festive season, on a gadget of Rs. 5000 MRP, after certain discount sold at Rs. 4250. If discount is decreased by 5%, then the customer will get the gadget at what price?

Given ,

Marked price (MP) = Rs. 5000

Selling price (SP) = Rs. 4250

Discount = 5000 - 4250 = Rs. 750

Discount % = $$\frac{discount}{MP}\times\ 100$$

= $$\frac{750}{5000}\times\ 100=15\%$$

According to question,

If discount is decreased by 5 %, Then it becomes 15% - 5% = 10%

Selling price = MP - discount

Discount = $$\frac{10}{100}\times\ 5000=500$$

SP = 5000 - 500 = Rs. 4500

Hence, Option D is correct
