Two years ago, Aadhya was three times as old as his son and two years hence, twice her age will be equal to five times that of her son. Find Aadhya's present age.
Solution
Let Aadhya's son's age 2 years ago = $$x$$ years
=> Aadhya's age 2 years ago = $$3x$$ years
According to ques,
=> $$2(3x+4)=5(x+4)$$
=> $$6x+8=5x+20$$
=> $$6x-5x=20-8$$
=> $$x=12$$
$$\therefore$$ Aadhya's present age = $$3(12)+2=36+2=38$$ years
