A certain sum is divided between four people A, B, C and D in the ratio 3 : 4 : 7 : 8, respectively.

Let's assume the share of four people A, B, C and D is 3y, 4y, 7y, and 8y respectively.

If the amount received by D is ₹408 more than the amount received by B.

8y = ₹408+4y

8y-4y = ₹408

4y = ₹408

y = ₹102

Total amount received by C and D = 7y+8y = 15y

= $$15\times102$$

= ₹1530
