Solution

₹2,300 is to be divided among P, Q, R and S in such a way that the ratio of P: Q: R : S is 2: 6: 9: 6, respectively.

Let's assume the share of P, Q, R and S is 2y, 6y, 9y and 6y respectively.

2y+6y+9y+6y = 2300

23y = 2300

y = 100

Sum of the shares of P and S = 2y+6y = 8y

= $$8\times100$$

= ₹800
