Equal volumes of two liquids (L1 and L2) are taken in two identical calorimeters. Both L1 and L2 are initially at about 80oC. Calorimeters are corked fitted with thermometers to record the temperatures of the liquids. The temperatures are recorded every 30 s alternating between the two liquids, that is the temperatures are recorded at an interval of 1 min for any one liquid.
