Question 59

An amount of ₹ 4600 has been distributed between x, y & z in the ratio of $$\frac{1}{2} : \frac{2}{3} : \frac{3}{4}$$. The share of y is:

Solution

Ratio of distribution between $$x,y$$ and $$z$$ = $$\frac{1}{2} : \frac{2}{3} : \frac{3}{4}$$

=> L.C.M. (2,3,4) = 12

Multiplying each term by 12, we get the required ratio = $$6:8:9$$

$$\therefore$$ Y's share = $$\frac{8}{(6+8+9)}\times4600$$

= $$8\times200=Rs.$$ $$1600$$

=> Ans - (A)
