Let's assume the two numbers are 2y and y.

$$\frac{2y+5}{y+5}\ =\ \frac{3}{2}$$

$$4y+10\ =\ 3y+15$$

4y-3y = 15-10

y = 5

Sum of the numbers = 2y+y

= 3y

= $$3\times5$$

= 15
