The price of two articles are in the ratio of 4 : 3 respectively. The price of first article is increased by 50% and the price of second article is decreased by 10%. If the new price of second article is ₹54, then what was the original price of first article?
Let the price of the two articles be Rs. $$40x$$ and Rs. $$30x$$ respectively
New price of first article after 50% increase = Rs. $$60x$$
Similarly, new price of second article = $$27x=54$$
=> $$x=2$$
$$\therefore$$ Original price of first article = Rs. $$80$$
