Question 56

A shopkeeper sells two articles, one of them with a profit of 10% for ₹ 1100 and another with a loss of 10% for ₹ 900. What will be the profit or loss percent?

Cost price of article which was sold with a profit of 10% for ₹ 1100

=> $$C_1=\frac{1100}{110}\times100=Rs.$$ $$1000$$

Similarly, cost price of other article = $$C_2=\frac{900}{900}\times100=Rs.$$ $$1000$$

Total S.P. = $$1100+900=Rs.$$ $$2000$$

Similarly, total C.P. = $$1000+1000=Rs.$$ $$2000$$

$$\because$$ Total selling price is equal to total cost price, thus there was neither profit nor loss.

=> Ans - (B)
