Question 55

What is the Least Common Multiple of 24, 60 and 48?

Solution

Numbers : 24, 60 and 48

Factors of 24 = $$2^3\times3$$

Factors of 60 = $$2^2\times3\times5$$

Factors of 48 = $$2^4\times3$$

Thus, L.C.M. = product of numbers having highest powers.

$$\therefore$$ Least Common Multiple of 24, 60 and 48 = $$2^4\times3\times5=240$$

=> Ans - (B)
