Question 55

What is the area of the largest square which can be inscribed in a circle of radius 14 cm?
Take ($$\pi$$=$$\frac{22}{7}$$)

Solution

Diagonal of the Square = Diameter of the circle

Radius = 14 cm

Diameter =28 cm

So diagonal= 28 cm

Area of square = $$\frac{Diagonal\times diagonal}{2}$$

                           =  $$\frac{28\times 28}{2}$$

                       = 392 $$cm^{2}$$
