Question 55

The following table shows the number of cars of 6 different brands on the roads during a given year.

The cars of brand B2 are what percentage of the number of cars of all the 6 given brands taken together? [Give your answer correct to 2 decimal places.]

Solution

The cars of brand B2 = 2200

the number of cars of all the 6 given brands taken together = 2000+2200+2700+1800+1300+3000

= 13000

Percentage = $$\frac{2200}{13000}\times100$$

= $$\frac{220}{13}$$

= 16.92% (approx.)
