Solution

Let number of male pupils = $$5x$$

=> Number of female pupils = $$6x$$

Total pupils = $$5x+6x=11x$$

Also, $$11x=55$$

=> $$x=\frac{55}{11}=5$$

$$\therefore$$ Number of female pupils = $$6 \times 5=30$$

=> Ans - (C)
