Solution
Number of girls = 40% of 50 = 20
Number of boys = 30
Total marks of girls = $$64.4 \times 50 - 62\times 30$$ = 3220 - 1860 = 1360
Average marks for girls = $$\frac{1360}{20}$$= 68
