A profit of Rs. 960 is divided between A and B in the ratio 1/3:1/2. The difference of their profit is :

Solution

Ratio of profit between A : B = $$\frac{1}{3}:\frac{1}{2}$$

= $$2:3$$

Let A received = Rs. $$2x$$ and B received = Rs. $$3x$$

Total amount = $$2x+3x=960$$

=> $$x=\frac{960}{5}=192$$

$$\therefore$$ Difference of their profit = $$3x-2x=x=Rs.$$ $$192$$

=> Ans - (D)
