Three numbers are in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 5. The sum of these three numbers is 80. What is the product of these three numbers?

Solution

Three numbers are in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 5.

Let's assume the numbers are 2y, 3y and 5y.

The sum of these three numbers is 80.

2y+3y+5y = 80

10y = 80

y = 8

Product of these three numbers = $$2y\times3y\times5y$$

= $$30y^3$$

= $$30\times8^3$$

= $$30\times512$$

= 15360
