If 15% of x is three times of 10% of y, then x:y =

Solution

Expression : 15% of x is three times of 10% of y

=> $$\frac{15}{100} \times x=3 \times \frac{10}{100} \times y$$

=> $$15x=30y$$

=> $$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{30}{15}=\frac{2}{1}$$

$$\therefore$$ Required ratio = 2 : 1

=> Ans - (B)
