The sum of three consecutive even integers is 84. Which is the least integer among them?
Let the 3 consecutive even integers be $$(x-2),(x),(x+2)$$
Sum =Â $$(x-2)+(x)+(x+2)=84$$
=> $$3x=84$$
=> $$x=\frac{84}{3}=28$$
$$\therefore$$ Least integer = $$28-2=26$$
