Let the cost price of the article = $$Rs.$$ $$100x$$

When profit % = 4%

=> Selling price = $$\frac{104}{100} \times 100x=Rs.$$ $$104x$$

Similarly, when profit % = 3%

=> Selling price = $$\frac{103}{100} \times 100x=Rs.$$ $$103x$$

According to ques,

=> $$104x-103x=3$$

=> $$x=3$$

$$\therefore$$ Cost price = $$100 \times 3=Rs.$$ $$300$$
