Sabrina travelled 8 km/hr on foot and 13 km/hr on cycle. She travelled a distance of 84 km in 8 hours. For how many hours did she cycle?
Solution
On foot speed = 8 km/hr
On cycle speed = 13 km/hr
Average speed = $$84 km \div 8 hours$$ = 10.5 km/hr
Now apply allegation.
So total 8 hours which is divided equally.
By cycle it has travelled 4 hours.
