When a number is increased by 24, it becomes 110% of itself. What is the number?

Solution

Let the number be $$100x$$

According to ques, => $$100x + 24 = \frac{110}{100} \times 100x$$

=> $$100x + 24 = 110x$$

=> $$110x - 100x = 24$$

=> $$x = \frac{24}{10} = 2.4$$

$$\therefore$$ Number = $$100 \times 2.4 = 240$$

=> Ans - (D)
