The ratio of the number of males and females in a group is $$6 : 7$$. Fifteen females leave the group. As a result, this ratio becomes $$12 : 11$$. Now, if 6 males join the group, then what will be the ratio of the number of males and females in the group?
Let the males are 6x and females are 7x
According to question,
$$\frac{6x}{7x-15}=\frac{12}{11}$$
$$\frac{x}{7x-15}=\frac{2}{11}$$
11x = 14x - 30
3x = 30
x = 10
Number of males =Â $$6\times\ 10=60$$
Number of females =Â $$(7\times\ 10) - 15Â = 55$$
If six males join the group = 60Â + 6 = 66Â
Required ratio = 66 : 55 = 6 :Â 5
Hence, Option B is correct.Â
