Question 51

If 7A = 5B = 2C; find A : B : C.

Solution

Let $$7A = 5B = 2C = k$$

=> $$A = \frac{k}{7}$$ , $$B = \frac{k}{5}$$ , $$C = \frac{k}{2}$$

=> Ratio of A : B : C = $$\frac{k}{7} : \frac{k}{5} : \frac{k}{2}$$

= $$\frac{1}{7}$$ : $$\frac{1}{5}$$ : $$\frac{1}{2}$$

L.C.M. of 2,5 and 7 = 70, thus multiplying by 70, we get :

= $$\frac{70}{7} : \frac{70}{5} : \frac{70}{2}$$

= 10 : 14 : 35

=> Ans - (D)
