A person purchased 12 bags of sugar at the rate of ₹ 1200 per bag, 8 bags at the rate of ₹ 1500 per bag and 10 bags at the rate of ₹ 2100 per bags. What will be the average cost of all the bags together?
Cost of each bag for 12 bags = Rs.1200
Then, Total Cost of 12 bags = Rs.1200*12 = Rs.14400
Cost of each bag for 8 bags = Rs.1500
Then, Total Cost of 8 bags = Rs.1500*8 = Rs.12000
Cost of each bag for 10 bags = Rs.2100
Then, Total Cost of 10 bags = Rs.2100*10 = Rs.21000
Therefore, Average Cost = $$\dfrac{14400+12000+21000}{12+8+10} = \dfrac{47400}{30} = Rs.1580$$
