let the total distance be 4x km
T = D/S
as per question ,
(x/10) + (3x/12) = 7
(x/10)+(x/4) = 7
(2x+5x)/20 = 7
x=(7*20)/7
x=20km
total dist. traveled = 4x = 4*20 = 80km
