The product of two numbers is 40. One of them is 2.50. What is the other number?

Solution

Let the two numbers be x and y

y=2.50

Product=40

$$x\times{y}=40$$

put value of y

$$x\times{2.5}=40$$

$$x=\frac{40}{2.5}$$

$$x=16$$
