Let's, say students contributed x rs.
So teachers contributed = $$\frac{3x}{2}$$
And external benefactor contributed = $$\frac{9x}{2}$$
Summation of all contribution = 4200 = $$7x$$
or $$x=600$$
Hence, teachers contributed = 900
