If 19 $ 7 = 312 and 23 $ 9 = 448, then

31 $ 11 = ?

Solution

The pattern followed is that the number on the right is obtained by subtracting the squares of numbers on the left.

Eg = $$19^2-7^2=361-49=312$$

and $$23^2-9^2=529-81=448$$

Similarly, $$31^2-11^2=961-121=840$$
