The following equation is incorrect. Which two signs should be interchanged to correct the
equation? 10 x 4 + 5 - 30 ÷ 6 = 31

Solution

Expression : 10 x 4 + 5 - 30 ÷ 6 = 31

(A) : x and -

L.H.S. = $$10-4+5\times30\div6$$

= $$6+\frac{150}{6}$$

= $$6+25=31=$$ R.H.S.

=> Ans - (A)
