How many people are sitting between M2 and M1, when counted from the left of M2?

M2 is sitting second to the left of M4.

Only one person is sitting between M3 and M4.

M1 is sitting to the immediate right of M2.

Now only M5 is remaining which can be placed on the blank space.

According to the above arrangement, three people are sitting between M2 and M1, when counted from the left of M2.
