In each of the following questions, a series is given, with one/two term missing. Choose the correct alternative from the given ones that will complete the series.

4, 6, 8, 12, 14, 18, 20, 24, 30, ?, ?

Solution

The pattern followed is = Prime number + 1.

3 + 1 = 4
5 + 1 = 6
7 + 1 = 8
11 + 1 = 12
13 + 1 = 14
17 + 1 = 18
19 + 1 = 20
23 + 1 = 24
29 + 1 = 30

So, the next prime numbers are 31, 37

31 + 1 = 32
37 + 1 = 38

Thus, missing numbers = 32, 38
