Question 34

A series is given, with one number missing. Choose the correct alternative from the given ones that will complete the series.

3, 5/3, 1/3, ? , -7/3, -11/3

Solution

The pattern followed is :

3 $$-\frac{4}{3}$$ = $$\frac{5}{3}$$

$$\frac{5}{3}$$ $$-\frac{4}{3}$$ = $$\frac{1}{3}$$

$$\frac{1}{3}$$ $$-\frac{4}{3}$$ = $$\frac{-3}{3}$$ = -1

-1 $$-\frac{4}{3}$$ = $$\frac{-7}{3}$$

$$\frac{-7}{3}$$ $$-\frac{4}{3}$$ = $$\frac{-11}{3}$$

=> Ans - (C)
