A right prism has height 18 cm and its base is a triangle with sides 5 cm, 8 cm and 12 cm. What is its lateral surface area (in $$cm^2$$) ?

Solution

Lateral surface area = perimeter of base $$\times $$ height
= (5 + 8 + 12) $$\times $$ 18 = 25 $$\times $$ 18 = 450 $$cm^2$$
