Let the required number = a

The logic here is

39 - 35 = 4 = 2$$^2$$

48 - 39 = 9 = 3$$^2$$

64 - 48 = 16 = 4$$^2$$

89 - 64 = 25 = 5$$^2$$

The difference between the numbers of the series is square of consecutive numbers. The next difference should be 6$$^2$$ = 36.

Similarly, a - 89 = 36

$$\Rightarrow$$ a = 125

$$\therefore\ $$The required number = 125.
