If ‘+’ stands for division, ‘÷’ stands for multiplication, ‘x’ stands for subtraction and ‘-’ stands for addition, which one of the following expressions is correct ?

Solution

(A) : 18 + 6 ÷ 7 x 5 - 2 = 18

$$\equiv18\div6\times7-5+2=18$$

L.H.S. = $$(\frac{18}{6}\times7)-5+2$$

= $$21-3=18=$$ R.H.S.

=> Ans - (A)
