The volume of a sphere is $$179.67 cm^3$$. Find its diameter (in cm).

Solution

Let radius of sphere = $$r$$ cm

Volume of sphere = $$\frac{4}{3}\times\pi r^3$$

=> $$\frac{4}{3}\times\frac{22}{7}\times(r)^3=179.67$$

=> $$(r)^3=179.67\times\frac{21}{88}$$

=> $$(r)^3=42.875$$

=> $$r=\sqrt[3]{42.875}=3.5$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Diameter = $$2\times3.5=7$$ cm

=> Ans - (C)
