The length of the diagonal and the breadth of a rectangle is 13 cm and 5 cm respectively. Calculate its area (in $$cm^2$$).
Solution
Let the length of rectangle = $$l$$ cm and breadth, $$b=5$$ cm
=> Diagonal, $$d^2=l^2+b^2$$
=> $$l^2=(13)^2-(5)^2$$
=> $$l^2=169-25=144$$
=> $$l=\sqrt{144}=12$$ cm
$$\therefore$$ Area = $$12\times5=60$$ $$cm^2$$
=> Ans - (A)
