The length and breadth of a rectangle are 24 cm and 7 cm respectively. What must be the length of its diagonal (in cm)?
Solution
Length of rectangle, $$l=24$$ cm and breadth, $$b=7$$ cm
=> Diagonal, $$d^2=l^2+b^2$$
=> $$d^2=(24)^2+(7)^2$$
=> $$d^2=576+49=625$$
=> $$d=\sqrt{625}=25$$ cm
=> Ans - (B)
