Sum of four consecutive odd numbers is 208. Find the largest number.

Solution

Let the four consecutive odd numbers be $$(x-3),(x-1),(x+1)$$ and $$(x+3)$$

Sum = $$(x-3)+(x-1)+(x+1)$$ $$+(x+3)=208$$

=> $$4x=208$$

=> $$x=\frac{208}{4}=52$$

$$\therefore$$ Largest number = $$52+3=55$$

=> Ans - (A)
