Question 197

A and B are two numbers. 6 times of square of B is 540 more than the square of A. If the respective ratio between A and B is 3:2, what is the value of B?

$$ 6 B ^ 2 - 540 = A ^ 2 $$

A : B = 3:2

A = 3B/2

$$ 6 B ^ 2 - 540 = \frac{9B^2}{4} $$

Solving for B, we get B = 12
