Dividing the given figure into 10 parts as shown above.
Single unit triangles: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 (10 triangles)
Double unit triangles: 1-6 , 5-10 (Two triangles)
Three unit triangles: 1-2-6 , 4-5-10 , 1-6-7 , 5-9-10 (4 triangles)
Four unit triangles: 3-7-8-9 , 2-3-4-8 (Two triangles)
Total number of triangles are 10+2+4+2 = 18.
