Question 19

$$ (1-\frac{1}{2}) (1-\frac{1}{3}) (1-\frac{1}{4}) .....(1-\frac{1}{40}) = ?$$

Solution

1 - 1/2 = 1/2

1 - 1/3 = 2/3

1 - 1/4 = 3/4

The denominator of the first term gets cancelled by the numerator of the second term and so on...

So, the final value = 1/40
