There are three baskets of fruits. First basket has twice the number of fruits in the 2nd basket. Third basket has three-fourth of the fruits in the first. The average of the fruits in all the baskets is 30. What is the number of fruits in the first basket ?

Solution

Let the number of fruits in first basket = $$4x$$

=> Fruits in second basket = $$2x$$

=> Fruits in third basket = $$3x$$

Acc to ques :

=> $$\frac{4x + 2x + 3x}{3} = 30$$

=> $$x = \frac{90}{9} = 10$$

$$\therefore$$ No. of fruits in first basket = 4*10 = 40
