What is the approximate average number of women living in all the societies together in the year 2002 ?
Solution
Total number of women in 2002 in society :
A = $$\frac{45}{100} \times 300$$ = 135
B = $$\frac{60}{100} \times 240$$ = 144
C = $$\frac{36}{100} \times 150$$ = 54
D = $$\frac{30}{100} \times 200$$ = 60
E = $$\frac{38}{100} \times 300$$ = 114
=> Total = 135 + 144 + 54 + 60 + 114 = 507
$$\therefore$$ Required average = $$\frac{507}{5}$$ = 101.4
$$\approx$$ 101
