Rahul has ₹340 in the denominations of ₹2 notes, ₹5 notes and ₹10 notes. The number of notes of each denomination is equal. What is the total number of notes that Rahul has?

Solution

Let the each denomination note be Rs x

According to the question,

$$2x+5x+10x=340$$

$$x=\frac{340}{17}=20$$

Total number of notes = 20 + 20 + 20 = 60.
