16, 24, 36, 54, 81, 121.5 ?

Solution

Each number in the series is 1.5 times the preceding number.

Hence, 16*1.5 = 24

24*1.5 = 36

36*1.5 = 54

54*1.5=81

81*1.5 = 121.5

So, the next number is 121.5*1.5 = 182.25
