The given series is based on the following sequence,

(12+1)*0.5 = 6.5

(6.5+1)*1 = 7.5

(7.5+1)*1.5=12.75

(12.75+1)*2 = 27.5

(27.5+1)*2.5 = 71.25

(71.25+1)*3 = 216.75
