$$\ B=1+2^{-p}\ .$$

or, $$\ B=1+\frac{1}{2^P}.\ \left(given\ A\ =1+2^P\right)$$

or, $$\ B=1+\frac{1}{A-1}.\ $$

or, $$\ B=\frac{A-1+1}{A-1}=\frac{A}{A-1}\ .$$
