If the cost of 6 pens is Rs. 30, how many pens can be bought for Rs. 900 ?
(A) 6 *30 # 900
(B) 900 *6 # 30

Solution
Cost of 6 pens = Rs. 30
=> Number of pens bought for Rs. 900 = $$\frac{6}{30}\times900=180$$
(A) : 6 *30 # 900
=> $$6\times30\div900=\frac{180}{900}=0.2$$
(B) : 900 *6 # 30
=> $$900\times6\div30=\frac{5400}{30}=180$$
(C) : 900 $ 6 # 30
=> $$900+6\div30=\frac{906}{30}=30.2$$
Only, the second statement = '180'
