Total population of state A in 2006 = 35 lakhs
% of unemployed youth (both male and female) in state A in 2006 = (7+8)% = 15%
=> Total numbers of unemployed youth in state A in 2006 = $$\frac{15}{100} \times 35$$
= 5.25 lakhs = 5,25,000
